DESCRIPTION:If you are a new member, getting to know your Council, it’s role, the Clerk and of course the relationship between your local council and the principal authorities, it can seem a little confusing at first. Even experienced members will agree that a refresher course or reminder cannot be underestimated.\nThis session should provide Councillors with the head start they need and knowledge to begin the task of representing their communities or the refresher to re-energise existing councillors,\nYou will:\n• Hear about the roles and responsibilities of Parish Councillors\n• Hear about the role of The Chairman\n• Hear about the role of the Clerk\n• Understand the Local Government structure and how Local Councils fit in\nPlus there will be ample time for questions and positive interaction!\nThis session will now be held online via zoom. Joining details will be sent direct to participants.\nCancellation: A full refund will be given if 14 days or more notice prior to the date of the training course is given. However, this could cause an event to be cancelled if it becomes uneconomic to run.\nMembers cost £38 per ticket\nNon-members cost £60 per ticket\n
