Effectively chairing in-person meetings and events requires a range of skills. This practical session explores strategies and techniques to help new and experienced councillors alike to get the most from the meetings they chair, including skills to encourage everyone to participate and to manage conflict when it arises.
This course content is delivered by Breakthrough Communications who are NALC’s National Partners for advice, guidance and services on parish and town council communications and engagement, as well as Data Protection, GDPR and Freedom of Information.
The experienced team at Breakthrough Communications understand what good communication and effective compliance look like. As a team of communications professionals which include councillors and clerks, Breakthrough Communications also have insight into the unique world of parish and town councils.

Cancellation: A full refund will be given if 14 days or more notice prior to the date of the training course is given. However, this could cause an event to be cancelled if it becomes uneconomic to run.
