Topic: Infrastructure in planning – Big to small scale in Buckinghamshire’
- Looking briefly at national projects such as East/West Rail, HS2 and the processes involved.
- A focus on larger scale infrastructure required to facilitate major development such as new link roads, schools and community facilities
- The varying pressures for different forms of infrastructure throughout Buckinghamshire – north to south such as data centres, solar farms and prisons.
Topic: Neighbourhood Planning & Support
Charlotte Stevens – Principal Planning Officer (Development Plans) and Rosa Vilares – Planning Officer (Development Plans)
Topic: The national and Local Neighbourhood Planning picture
Neil Homer will provide a summary of the national and local neighbourhood planning picture using his consultancy’s and other recent research of the sector with some anecdotes thrown in. He will also look ahead to what the new NPPF and Levelling Up & Regeneration Act will mean for neighbourhood planning, and suggest what a new support programme in 2024 should look like
Topic: Developer Funds – Lance Wiggins
Lion Planning offer advice on planning applications, appeals and enforcement cases (development management) together with assistance with development plan proposals. The company has been established since August 2021 and it’s director, Lance Wiggins, has over 30 years experience in local authorities, planning consultancy and as planning manager within a volume house builder.
Followed by end of day panel participation and Q& A

Cancellation: A full refund will be given if 14 days or more notice prior to the date of the training course is given. However, this could cause an event to be cancelled if it becomes uneconomic to run.
