BMKALC - General Assistant to the Association

Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes Association of Local Councils (BMKALC) have a vacancy for a General Assistant to the Association.

The position is a newly created one.  We require a person for 20 hours per week to assist with the general running of this busy office.  This position will be supporting general administration, invoicing using Quickbooks and training and event administration.

The role is based in the Associations’ office in Aylesbury.  No previous knowledge of local councils is required.  You will need good computer skills such as Mail, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, additionally QuickBooks and Canva would be advantageous, and great people skills - online, by telephone or in person.  Discretion is essential.

The position offers some flexibility on the days worked and the opportunity will be available for an element of work from home.  There may be a requirement for occasional evening work.  The salary  is the National Joint Council SCP 9, which equates to a hourly rate of £13.06/hour.  This is subject to the national pay agreement which is reviewed annually.
