PART TIME CLERK/RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL OFFICER
Working hours - approximately 6 hours per week with any additional hours paid with agreement
Salary: NJC Pay Scales 2022/23 Band 20 pro rata up to £14.75 per hour dependent upon experience
Weston Underwood is a thriving village community; members of the Parish Council are supportive
and pro-active, and everyone works together as a part of a team.
The Parish has an annual precept of circa £10,000. Historically, the Parish administration has been
well kept and run.
Skills required – A pro-active approach to fulfilling the role. Excellent administration, communication, (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills together with IT competence.
The ability to keep basic accurate financial records is essential.
Previous local government or other public sector experience is desirable but not essential.
The successful candidate will be expected to attend appropriate training courses. It is also desirable
that the successful candidate has or is willing to train towards the CILCA qualification after a
successful period in post.
The Clerk will be required to work from home, a laptop and mobile phone are provided. The Council
meet monthly on the second Monday evening of each month, apart from December and August.
