We are a small parish with big ambitions to help shape vibrant and active communities in which people love to live, work and visit; one where all residents feel they can contribute to a happy and healthy community.
A Parish Manager and Clerk is needed to support Simpson and Ashland Parish Council and the communities it serves. We are looking for a strong administrator and people-person, confident with IT and social media. We are offering a competitive salary for 45 hours work per calendar month. Your ability to work hard, be flexible and aim for the highest standards is more important than formal clerking qualifications, but you must be ready to take responsibility to learn and develop professionally, alongside us and our residents. The role will include responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of Simpson Village Hall and, in due course, the Ashland Meeting Place (currently being developed), together with residents. Also, to be active in monitoring the way our open spaces are managed, again with Parish Councillors and residents.
We have been told we punch above our weight as a Parish Council. If that intrigues you, get in touch.
Please call David Pye, our Chair, on 01908 395415 for an informal discussion. More information available at: www.simpsonandashland.co.uk/parish-council.html
