Registration
All Local Councils must undertake an Internal Audit, examining their internal controls, risk management and governance processes. The Internal Auditor provides an independent and objective assurance which is designed to help councils identify potential improvements in its operating processes and activities. To deliver an effective and useful internal audit, you will need to be competent in both financial management and the governance requirements of local councils.
Complete our online form and upload details of your experience and your qualification documents.
BMKALC is not responsible for the work undertaken by each individual internal auditor.
What happens next?
On receipt of your registration, BMKALC will publish an anonymous entry on our register and on request provide councils with your contact details with your agreement. It is then for the council to liaise directly with you.
