The NALC Legal Team consists of two solicitors experienced in local government law.  The aim to provide practical advice to local councils both in terms of advice notes that can be found in the Resources section of the NALC website and in bespoke advice in respect of specific issues.

The legal update is designed to inform delegates about new and impending changes in the law, outlining the aspects relevant to local councils, together with advice on what action should be taken to prepare for implementation.

Also covered will be details of issues that have been raised by various councils as part of specific issues.  Again, general, practical, advice will be given on these matters.

Finally, delegates will be able to raises questions, both on points covered in the update but also on other matters.
