Many local councils have land and property assets that are often legacy, costly liabilities that make no contribution to their organisation goals. The potential to create community and financial value from developing these assets, including using land for biodiversity offsetting, has been explored by Neil in a number of locations. He will share what he has learned about the technical and political issues that have arisen so far.
