The View from our Window W/E 2nd October 2026

Hello October!  Despite the mugginess this week, there is little doubt that the season has turned, leaves and chestnuts falling, misty mornings, budgets, quotes and contract renewals all remind us that we are into the second half of our fiscal and electoral year.  You may will be planning a six-month review with your internal auditor, yes it is a thing!  Finding out now if you are managing your accounts in line with The Practitioners Guide makes far more sense than waiting for the end of the year.

BC recently held their planning forum, we did forward the slides and recording and have been asked for them again.  Clerks, it would help us enormously if you forwarded these on to your full council when you receive them, as we have received multiple requests voicing increasing frustration at our withholding of this information.  So, for the last time https://youtu.be/sLLk5sipq1g?si=Lgmyt1G9Hkf7nveg and slide pack attached.
