You need to be an experienced clerk, CiLCA or even FiLCA is not necessary, although FiLCA would be an advantage. You will have worked with a parish or parishes who offer a variety of services and precept levels, you’ll be checking for powers, resolutions, policies and good governance. You do need to have excellent financial skills, you will be looking in detail at financial records and reports and you will be able to identify the correct nominal accounts and able to calculate and cross reference VAT and other HMRC returns.
Important Additional Information:
You will need to identify who we will be invoicing.
You can’t audit your own council and so this account will be for your private attention unless your council have approved the expenditure as part of your continued personal development plan.
We will allocate the places on the first come, first served basis and would ask that you consider the experience we ask for carefully, before committing to undertaking this training.
We would recommend attendees park at Exchange Street Car Park for ease of access to the training rooms.
