Location: Mainly home-based (some evenings for meetings)
Hours: 12 hours per week (flexible working)
Salary: SCP 18–23 (£16.35 to £17.85 per hour, depending on experience)

About the Role
North Marston is a small, friendly village with around 800 residents. We’re looking for a proactive, organised, and community-minded Parish Clerk & Finance Officer to help our Council run smoothly.
This role is about supporting our community, keeping things organised, and making sure our Council’s projects and finances are well-managed. You’ll mainly work from home, with some evenings for meetings, and you’ll be the go-to person for councillors, residents, and local organisations.
What You’ll Do
- Keep the Council’s administration and finances in good order
- Prepare agendas, minutes, and reports for meetings
- Maintain accurate financial records and provide regular updates
- Be a friendly point of contact for residents, contractors, and local groups
- Support community projects and initiatives
What You Need
✅ Confident with Microsoft Office (Excel required)
✅ Good at juggling tasks and meeting deadlines
✅ Friendly, approachable, and reliable
Previous experience in local government would be an advantage but is not essential as support will be given.
