New! Optima offers Pay as you Use Member Service to assist with Occupational Health support

Optima has launched a Pay as you Use Member service to assist with Occupational Health support.  You do not need to be part of our Employee Assistance Programme which is now available for both employees and councillors. 

To help you fulfil your health and safety duties as an employer, Optima Health, now offers a pay as use Occupational Health service who also offer the annual Employee Assistance Programme. The service can be used to carry out:

  • Pre-employment health checks – to help you understand if there are any adjustments/support measures that need to be put in place.
  • Referrals – for situations where you want to understand more about the health condition of your employee, for example where an employee is likely to be off work for sometime or who has short term repetitive sickness absence or has been diagnosed with a health condition that may impact their role.
  • Assessments and physiotherapy services

This is a ‘pay as use’ service with no annual charge, no joining, on-boarding or exit charges.  Indicative prices for services are below

Service charges:

  • £190 for Occupational Health Adviser referral
  • £375 Occupational Health Practitioner/Physician referral
  • £43.50 for a pre-employment health check
